Our revolutionary electric, ventless, zero-emissions commercial coffee roaster uses clean technology and does not require gas lines or expensive ventilation. About the position

 

The Inventory Control Manager is a strategic and critical role within Bellwether’s Operations Team, with the primary objective of ensuring continuity of supply to support business growth. Reporting to the Senior Procurement & Inventory Control Manager, and partnering closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Tech Services, CX, Logistics and Finance, this is a high-impact and high-visibility role. The position plays a crucial role in the development and functionality of the warehouse, manufacturing, and procurement.


Key Responsibilities – What success looks like

 

  • Track, manage, control and allocate inventory (parts and coffee) on an ongoing and proactive basis, with focus on serialized parts and lot tracking
  • Ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization's inventory cycle.
  • Actively analyze, evaluate and report on supply risks; out of stocks, back orders, surplus inventory, and slow moving items, to key stakeholders
  • Analyze inventories to determine proper procurement cadence and dynamic safety stock levels in order to optimize customer service and reduce waste
  • Implement, manage and schedule regular physical inventory counts at HQ, 3PL and all forward deployment locations
  • Perform stock adjustments and bin accuracy as needed to resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate receiving records in ERP
  • Reconcile vendor invoices, purchase orders and item receipts to verify accuracy, collaborate with AP team and ensure 3 way match
  • Collaborate with Purchasing on materials receipts to ensure vendors are producing to spec to ensure appropriate recovery and recourse, and hold vendors accountable
  • Provide kitting instructions/support to warehouse team to support Manufacturing production and Clear To Build
  • Ensure coffee inventory is reflected correctly and accurately in ERP and planning files
  • Provide support for S&OP process for:
    • Preventative Maintenance Parts
    • Service Parts
    • Manufacturing parts (CTB)
    • FG’s
    • Coffee
  • Item set up and item master management in ERP 
  • Regularly update and maintain Bill of Materials in accordance with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure parts and builds are up to date on the roaster and Coffee team and Accounting/Finance with coffee products


General Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in developing and managing warehouse processes, stand up RF WMS
  • Develop and document standardized work processes in inventory control to establish stability and enable scale
  • Establish best practices and continuous improvement
  • Provide change management leadership
  • Cross functional collaboration, including support in other Operations functions and Finance/Accounting
  • Other duties, as assigned


Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics, Economics, related field or equivalent 
  • 8+ years in an inventory control and/or warehouse management role at a hardware or similar company
  • 8+ years experience with ERP, WMS, Google Suite and MS Office Suite
  • Solutions-oriented with a proactive approach to solving problems
  • Analytical mindset with strong business acumen
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Bias towards action and ability to thrive in a quickly evolving, fast-paced environment

Physical Demands


  • Must be able to lift minimum 40 lbs
  • At times, will be required to go into various areas of the facility; office, lab and manufacturing, subject to temp and humidity changes
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods throughout the work day
